The Wynyard Sabot National Championships 2010-2011
If you are interested in the Sabot Nationals and are possibly competing, PLEASE subscribe to the emails that get sent out with each change to this website. It will ensure that you have the latest information.
To allow for easier travel time for those coming from further away, and getting across Bass Strait by ferry, the 2010 Nationals will be starting a day later than previous years. The invitation race will be held on December 29th 2010.
Here are the essential dates for the event:
Arrival and Measurement Day is the 28th December 2010
Final Measurement and Invitation Race is on the 29th December 2010
The LAY DAY is the 1st January 2011 (New Years Day)
The Presentation Evening is on the 4th January 2011
This means that if you are attending, you will need to be here in Wynyard from the 28th December until the evening of the 4th Jan, 2011.
The Wynyard Yacht Club, at the mouth of the Inglis River, on the North West Coast of Tasmania, is well suited to host these popular junior class championships. Young sailors and their families will travel from all over Australia to compete and, for many,combine the event with an extended holiday in Tasmania. The Wynyard Yacht Club extends its welcome through this website. The club is planning an exciting on-shore program of entertainment and social and cultural activities to complement the event. There will be something for all family members.
The website is now a work-in-progress that will be geared towards the young sailors with regularly updated information and interactive opportunities.

To make your information up to date, we would appreciate if it all possible to change the name in your listing. Your competitors/family and friends may also be interested in knowing that we are open 7 days per week from 8am with all day breakfast available and a variety of hot meals daily. ‘Veneziano’ coffee, latte, chai latte etc. We have refurbished the premises and offer a bright, modern and family friendly atmosphere for all. Centrally located next door to Woolworths with free parking available behind supermarket. Eat in or takeaway and phone orders welcome.
